Stellenview Luxury Cottage
has an open plan lounge and kitchen that opens onto the
spacious patio with large windows so that you can even
enjoy the breathtaking views while inside from the
kitchen and lounge. To assure absolute comfort on those
warm summer days you can make use of the
air- conditioning, carefully placed in the lounge so
that it also cools down the bedroom. The sun is not
always shining here in sunny South Africa, thus the
apartment is also fitted with under floor heating as
well as a cosy built-in fireplace (firewood for 1st
burning is supplied, there after it’s for your own
account).
The kitchen
is fully equipped and has a microwave, coffee maker,
kettle, toaster, fridge, built-in hob with oven as well
as a washer and dryer, thus you do not have to go to the
Laundromat to do your laundry
(washing machine for the use of 2 paying guest clothes
only).
Braai / barbeque
facilities are available and utensils are supplied.
For your convenience coffee, tea, sugar and milk sachets
are also supplied on arrival.
The lounge
is fitted with comfortable chairs, a Television with all
DSTV (Satellite) channels as well as a surround sound
DVD system (not connected to TV only for DVD / CD’s and
Radio).
The en-suite bedroom has a Queen extra length bed
fitted with crisp 100% Cotton Percale linen; it has a
built-in cupboard with a digital safe installed as well
as an alarm clock. Crisp white towelling robes and
slippers are provided to make you feel right at home.
Stellenview’ s en-suite bathroom offers true
relaxation ... twin basins, large corner bath, spacious
shower complete with luxury toiletries and crisp white
towels.
The cottage is fitted with burglar proofing as well as
sliding security doors, thus you can enjoy fresh air
even while taking a nap on the couch. Off-street parking
is available.
This country living experience so close to the Historic
Dorp Street of Stellenbosch (the 2nd oldest town in
South Africa) not only offers a delighted stroll to town
to enjoy the wonderful culinary delights and shops, but
also offers the more adventurous traveller the
experience of taking the 2 mountain bikes that are
supplied and explore the various routes from the cottage
through the neighbouring farm and up the Stellenbosch
Mountain (1175 m high). Bird lovers are welcome to bring
their binoculars to view the variety of birdlife seen
from the cottage.
A wine tour can be booked with
La Rochelle Tours,
who makes use of Cape Wine Academy trained guides who
specialise in wine tours and offer an informative tour
with groups between 7 and 10 people to smaller wineries
in the above mentioned regions.
Stellenview Luxury Cottage offers the perfect base for
exploring the Cape Winelands and surrounds or as your
final destination before returning home as it is only a
30 min drive from the
Cape Town International Airport.
Golfers have 10 golf courses to choose from within a 35
minute drive and another 12 within 1½ hours drive from
Stellenbosch (of which most have Platinum or Gold
status).
A visit to Cape Town (± 50 min drive) for the day or
even the Cape of Good Hope (± 90 min drive) is a scenic
drive away.
