DAY 1 Guests are met upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport from where you will collect your hired car for the duration of your stay. Depending on your time of arrival the rest of the day will be spent exploring one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You might want to visit Table Mountain where a cable car ride to the top of the mountain reveals breathtaking views of the Cape Peninsula. With lovely views of Table Mountain from most holes, this championship course offers a beautiful setting and challenging layout. The Royal Cape Golf Course is a true championship course, having hosted the South African Open no less than eleven times and the SA Amateur Championships eight times. Designed by Gary Player, the course boasts an impressive setting, which takes in views of the surrounding mountain ranges and False Bay in the distance. Erinvale Golf Club has hosted the World Cup of Golf and is rated one of the finest golf courses in South Africa. After enjoying this amazing golf course we suggest that you take a drive to nearby Somerset West and Strand to enjoy one of the best beaches in South Africa. You will visit the historic town of Stellenbosch (2nd oldest town in South Africa after Cape Town) and also known as the Wine Capital of South Africa. You will also visit the “French” town of Franschhoek, also known as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa. Along the way we will take your breath away with some of the most beautiful scenery known to mankind. You will also get to sample some of the finest wines of South Africa and indeed of the world. This Links course, which is situated on the West Coast, reveals magnificent examples of Cape Fynbos and will present a challenge, especially on windy days when it will be necessary to use the firm turf to play low running shots under the wind. On your way back to Cape Town you will drive through the coastal town of Bloubergstrand where you will have a view of the classic Table Mountain as seen on most postcards. You can visit the most South Westerly point on the African Continent. Visit the penguin colony of Boulders Beach where the penguins have the right of way. You may even be tempted to visit the beautiful Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. After this amazing day out in nature you return to the town of Stellenbosch. During the months of May to November the waters are frequented by the Southern Right Whale. Outside whale season the drive of about 1 hour is still one of the countries most scenic. The Arabella Golf Course will challenge both novices and professionals alike. It is bordered by the Kleinmond Lagoon and much care has been taken to ensure the course blends in well with the natural surroundings. You make your way back to Stellenbosch during the late afternoon after a short trip to Hermanus – the Whale Capital of South Africa and the site for the best land based whale watching in the world. This golf course is open with tall trees and broad fairways. Lunch at the turn reminds you that you are in one of the most beautiful parts of the world as you have great views from the terrace.
