Guests are met upon arrival at Cape Town International
Airport from where you will collect your hired car for
the duration of your stay.
Depending on your time of arrival the rest of the day
will be spent exploring one of the most beautiful cities
in the world.
You might want to visit Table Mountain where a cable car
ride to the top of the mountain reveals breathtaking
views of the Cape Peninsula.
After descending the mountain, visits are made to the
Parliament Gardens and the Castle of Good Hope before
returning to your luxury overnight destination. Overnight at either the Cape Grace or Table Bay
Hotel.
After breakfast you make your way to the Royal Cape Golf
Course for a round on South Africa’s oldest golf course.
With lovely views of Table Mountain from most holes,
this championship course offers a beautiful setting and
challenging layout.
The Royal Cape Golf Course is a true championship
course, having hosted the South African Open no less
than eleven times and the SA Amateur Championships eight
times.
The most recent SA Open held was in 1996 and was won by
Ernie Els.
The afternoon is spent at leisure Overnight at either the Cape Grace or Table Bay Hotel.
The Erinvale Golf Course is situated at the foot of the
Helderberg Mountains and is the site for a morning round
of golf.
Designed by Gary Player, the course boasts an impressive
setting, which takes in views of the surrounding
mountain ranges and False Bay in the distance.
Erinvale Golf Club has hosted the World Cup of Golf and
is frequently rated one of the finest golf courses in
South Africa.

you take a drive to nearby Somerset West and Strand to
enjoy one of the best beaches in South Africa OR you can
visit the historic Vergelegen Wine Estate for a quick
tipple before returning to Cape Town. Overnight at either the Cape Grace or Table Bay Hotel.

oldest town in South Africa after Cape Town) and also
known as the Wine Capital of South Africa.
You will also visit the “French” town of Franschhoek,
also known as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa.
Along the way we will take your breath away with some of
the most beautiful scenery known to mankind.
You will also get to sample some of the finest wines of
South Africa and indeed of the world.
By early evening you should be back in Cape Town. Overnight at either the Cape Grace or Table Bay Hotel.
Today your route traces the Atlantic coast to the town
of Melkbosstrand, home to the Atlantic Beach Golf
Course.
This Links course, which is situated on the West Coast,
reveals magnificent examples of Cape Fynbos and will
present a challenge, especially on windy days when it
will be necessary to use the firm turf to play low
running shots under the wind.
On your way back to Cape Town you will drive through the
coastal town of Bloubergstrand where you will have a
view of the classic Table Mountain as seen on most
postcards. Overnight at either the Cape Grace or Table Bay Hotel.
After checking out of your Cape Town hotel you can spend
the rest of the day at leisure to explore the beautiful
Cape Peninsula (Cape Point) region.
You can visit the most South Westerly point on the
African Continent.
Visit the penguin colony of Boulders Beach where the
penguins have the right of way.
You may even be tempted to visit the beautiful
Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
After this amazing day out in nature you return to the
town of Stellenbosch. Overnight at either Batavia Boutique Hotel or
Lanzerac Hotel.
After breakfast you trace the Indian Ocean coast and
traverse the towns of Rooi Els and Betty’s Bay en route
to Kleinmond and the Arabella Golf Estate.
During the months of May to November the waters are
frequented by the Southern Right Whale.
Outside whale season the drive of about 1 hour is still
one of the countries most scenic.
The Arabella Golf Course will challenge both novices and
professionals alike.
It is bordered by the Kleinmond Lagoon and much care has
been taken to ensure the course blends in well with the
natural surroundings.
You make your way back to Stellenbosch during the late
afternoon after a short trip to Hermanus – the Whale
Capital of South Africa and the site for the best land
based whale watching in the world. Overnight at either Batavia Boutique Hotel or
Lanzerac Hotel.
Spend the day at leisure exploring the historic town of
Stellenbosch – home to one of the oldest universities in
South Africa.

valley, boasts a mild Mediterranean climate.
Oak-lined streets next to water furrows compliment the
many fine examples of elegant Cape Dutch, Victorian and
Georgian architecture – all part of this unique “Town of
Oaks”.
Tonight you are free to dine at one of the many sidewalk
restaurants or cafe’s.
Some curio shops are open until late in the night for
your shopping pleasure. Overnight at either Batavia Boutique Hotel or

On your way home you can visit the Afrikaans Language
Monument on Paarl Rock. Overnight at either Batavia Boutique Hotel or

city of Mossel Bay on the Garden Route of South Africa.
Mossel Bay is where the Portuguese explorer Bartholomew
Diaz set foot on shore in 1488 and we dedicate some time
to visit the museum which bears his name.
The museum stands not far from the Milkwood Tree and
fountain which served, respectively, as a post office
and watering hole to sea farers in centuries past.
After this short stop you continue towards the town of
George for your overnight stay. Overnight at the Fancourt Hotel & Spa.
The Links at Fancourt hosted a very successful
Presidents Cup in 2003 and has since become one of South
Africa’s most highly rated and sought after golf
courses.
The Links course is difficult and it would be prudent to
carry some additional balls.
Gary Player has ensured an almost perfect balance
between hazards, length and shot value.
The course has been compared favorably with some of
Scotland’s finest links courses and the morning round is
sure to be the highlight of this trip.
The afternoon is spent at leisure. Overnight at the Fancourt Hotel & Spa.
This morning we travel along a short but scenic route to
the town of Knysna.
En route you will be forgiven for thinking that you are
in Switzerland as you will drive past forests and lakes
that will remind you of the Alps.
The Pezula Golfing Estate is set high above the Indian
Ocean on one of Knysna’s famous heads.
A relatively new course, utmost care has been taken in
the design, to ensure a great golfing experience on a
site which couldn’t be more perfect.
We return to Fancourt during the late afternoon. Overnight at the Fancourt Hotel & Spa.
A day at leisure to enjoy.
We suggest a trip to the ostrich capital of South
Africa, Oudtshoorn.
In Oudtshoorn you can visit the world renowned Cango
Caves, the Cango Wildlife Ranch as well as an ostrich
farm where you can even take the opportunity to ride an
ostrich.
For lunch you should try out some ostrich steak – a
healthy alternative to beef as it contains almost no
saturated fats.
On return to Fancourt you will drive over the Outeniqua
Pass and will enjoy some amazing scenery of the Garden
Route. Overnight at the Fancourt Hotel & Spa.
A morning round of golf is enjoyed at the Fancourt
Outeniqua course.
This Gary Player designed course was named after the
mountain range which forms the barrier between the
Garden Route and the Little Karoo regions.
A parkland course which takes in beautiful scenery, the
Outeniqua is sure to reward both experienced players as
well as novices.
After your round of golf its time to pack up and bid
